Tyler "Tyler1" Steinkamp has signed with the esports organisation T1. The signing, which was announced over Twitter in an absolutely crazy video, will see the Twitch star join T1 as a streamer/content creator.
In an interview with The Esports Observer, T1 Entertainment and Sports CEO Joe Marsh was quoted saying; "For us with someone like Tyler, we view this more as a content creation partnership versus just a strict streaming deal. We view him as a creator. He doesn't need us for streaming...he's one of the biggest names in the game."
The T1 T1 deal will see Tyler1 sport a T1 logo across his stream, as he transitions to "be a Nike guy" for the organisation, as Marsh stated in the interview. Tyler1's signing will be T1's biggest move to date as they look to grow a larger audience in the West. With their premier League of Legends team being based in Korea, the org needed a large figure to help bolster their audience, as their US-based Valorant roster started to grow more followers.
